Berry, Nutty Porridge with Dulse

Love porridge? Then you have to try this healthy, warming breakfast recipe this weekend! Berries are one of the best sources of antioxidants and the nuts and seeds are full of good fats to keep you going.
In this recipe the dulse is used as a replacement to salt. One teaspoon is enough to season as well as adding a good dose of nutrition.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
50 grams of porridge oats
350ml of water or milk (or a mixture of the two)
1/2 cup of frozen summer forest fruits or other berries of choice
1 hand full of nuts (brazil, almonds, walnuts) roughly chopped
1 handful of pumpkin seeds
1tsp dulse
Squeeze of honey or maple syrup to serve
Method:
Put oats in a sauce pan and cover with water or milk. Add the seaweed and the berries, bring to the boil and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
To serve put in a bowl and top with the nuts, seeds honey or maple syrup.
