Hi Lillian, we’re delighted you’re enjoying our seaweed and seeing its health benefits. For any questions about your medication, we recommend asking your doctor for advice but it should be possible to take both seaweed and Thyroxine. We can provide you with more information about the iodine levels in each of our seaweeds if that will help you assess your intake. Please drop us an email at info@maraseaweed.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP. And feel free to share that scone recipe with us too!

Enjoyed reading your article on how Seaweed helps with thyroid disease function, I’ve been using your product for a wee while now, around size years ago I was diagnosed with Underactive Thyroid and now take Thyroxine, never been very good a taking medication, but felt so awful was glad to take it!! However, as I say I’ve been using Mara Seaweed in my cooking even my scones and other baking, not sure if this is a coincidence, but my medication has been reduced after my last check! Is it ok to take Thyroxine and still use your lovely Seaweed? As I know which I’d rather take everyday and it’s not Thyroxine!! Would value your comment on this, many thanks
